Christmas wish list

Christmas is only 12 days away! I suppose it's time for me to put together a wish list. As I get older, I feel like creating a wish list to give to my parents, in-laws and husband gets harder and harder each time. I quickly put together a few ideas to tell them. Honestly, I would rather have money so go out and shop the after Christmas deals. Anyone else feel that the deals after Christmas are so much better?

I'm Alive!

I have neglected this poor little blog these past months. I can't believe my last post was two months ago.  Life has been so hectic lately. I've been trying to juggle being newlywed, new teacher and dance team coach. Taking on the dance team has been a huge weight and stress bringer into my life. It has changed so much since when I was on the team and its becoming more about keeping the parents happy not doing what the girls want to do. I continue to pray for guidance and wisdom.

Christmas is right around the corner. We finally got our tree up! I am having major issues with the star. It doesn't seem to want to sit straight! So this year we are going without a star.

Today is my wonderful husbands birthday! I had a procedure done that took a toll on us emotionally so we are just planning on a low key night with our families.

Teacher Talk Link up

My oh my! I totally forgot about the Teacher Talk Link up! Things have been so busy. I have not been setting aside time for myself. No blog reading, no coffee dates, no shows to catch up on. Just too busy!

I love how I can dress in my new district. It's pretty lax, no jeans except on Friday, even though some tenured teachers do. My go to outfits are: colored khakis, sweaters, cardis, button ups, and of course dress pants and dresses.

A new chapter, a new blog

Hello!! I have neglected my poor little blog these past months. With getting married and switching jobs I have been up to my neck busy. I wanted to start fresh, I decided to go with a new blog name, Overjoyed, because that is what I am feeling right now. I have married the most amazing, Christian husband who works hard to support us. I have landed a teaching job in my dream district, may not be my favorite grade, but my favorite district is enough right now. Also, Overjoyed by Matchbox Twenty was our wedding song, so it holds a special place in my heart.

What do I want from this blog? I want to share with you my newlywed life, my life as a classroom teacher and to establish lasting relationships with genuine people. I have been living in Michigan my whole life and feel that I have been held back in creating friendships in different states. I'm hoping for this blog to open those doors and spark friendships.

So welcome to Overjoyed! I am so excited for what this has in store.
